WHAT IS BUILDING HOPE?

We believe that every person matters to God and therefore should matter to us as well, which is why we exist as a church. God has uniquely positioned and equipped LifePoint to be a church that reaches people living apart from Jesus. This includes people who have never gone to church before, as well as those who have given up on church altogether.

Building Hope is our all-out effort and commitment over the next three years to make a bigger impact than we ever have before! It is an opportunity like no other to reach more people with the Good News of Jesus and see God continue to change lives as we take the next right steps together.

OUR PRIMARY GOAL IN OUR BUILDING HOPE INITIATIVE IS 100% PARTICIPATION.

We believe that if each of us decides to fully engage, then we will see God move in incredible and unexpected ways. Participation in Growth Groups and serving will increase, ministries will excel, our missions impact locally and globally will skyrocket, and giving will multiply exponentially. As a result, people will find Jesus, hurting people will be cared for, and relationships will be restored.

NOTE FROM PASTOR RUSTY

When I first came to LifePoint three years ago one of the most significant changes we made was to revert back to the original mission of the church, which was to Make More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ. This simple statement captures the heartbeat of LifePoint. Our goal is to reach people who are living apart from God and church with the saving message of Jesus (making more disciples) and to help them take their Next Right Step (making better disciples).

When I look back at the last three years it’s remarkable to see all the ways that God has been at work. More people than ever before are attending, growing, serving, giving, and going out on mission for Jesus. Just when God brings us into one season of great impact, He opens up another door or opportunity for us to continue making a difference for His Kingdom.

Exciting days are ahead of us! The leadership team of LifePoint has been praying about what God has planned next for us as a church. While God has blessed our church immensely in the past, He is leading us into a season of greater outreach and spiritual growth in the future. For this reason, we are starting a new three-year initiative called “Building Hope.”

I’ve been praying about Building Hope for the last several months, and now I invite you to join me in praying about how you can be involved. My hope is that God would unite us like never before, as we see him do things in our communities… like never before.

IMPACTING THE NEXT GENERATION

“My kids make us come to church each week and hassle us if we don’t make it.” This is a quote we’ve heard countless times about our kids programs. We believe kids should love Jesus and love coming to church! We use media, storytelling, art, music and movement to help kids learn about God and the Bible. Our kids ministry team believes the lives of children are changing when the church partners with parents. That’s why each weekend we provide take-home materials to guide your conversations with your kids throughout the week.

A central part of our Building Hope Initiative is to reconfigure our facility so it will more readily accommodate a future for-profit LifePoint Preschool. Our goal is to provide an outstanding preschool for our community; to welcome children and families from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds; and to emphasize academics while teaching values such as sharing, respect for others, perseverence, love of self and others, cooperation, and a sense of stewardship of the world.

HOW CAN WE GET INVOLVED?

PRAY.

We want to invite you to pray about BUILDING HOPE. Pray about how you can be involved. Pray about your next step in giving generously to God’s work. Pray over the next three years for the leadership team of LifePoint. Ask God to continue working and changing lives. Pray for the necessary resources so that the ministry initiatives God has planned for the church will become a reality. Prayer works. So let’s pray frequently and relentlessly. God will answer!
