We believe that every person matters to God and therefore should matter to us as well, which is why we exist as a church. God has uniquely positioned and equipped LifePoint to be a church that reaches people living apart from Jesus. This includes people who have never gone to church before, as well as those who have given up on church altogether.
Building Hope is our all-out effort and commitment over the next three years to make a bigger impact than we ever have before! It is an opportunity like no other to reach more people with the Good News of Jesus and see God continue to change lives as we take the next right steps together.
When I first came to LifePoint three years ago one of the most significant changes we made was to revert back to the original mission of the church, which was to Make More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ. This simple statement captures the heartbeat of LifePoint. Our goal is to reach people who are living apart from God and church with the saving message of Jesus (making more disciples) and to help them take their Next Right Step (making better disciples).
When I look back at the last three years it’s remarkable to see all the ways that God has been at work. More people than ever before are attending, growing, serving, giving, and going out on mission for Jesus. Just when God brings us into one season of great impact, He opens up another door or opportunity for us to continue making a difference for His Kingdom.
Exciting days are ahead of us! The leadership team of LifePoint has been praying about what God has planned next for us as a church. While God has blessed our church immensely in the past, He is leading us into a season of greater outreach and spiritual growth in the future. For this reason, we are starting a new three-year initiative called “Building Hope.”
I’ve been praying about Building Hope for the last several months, and now I invite you to join me in praying about how you can be involved. My hope is that God would unite us like never before, as we see him do things in our communities… like never before.
